Reno

Magazine

RENO was founded in 1977. There are more than 500 retail branches and 1,800 sales outlets. The shoe company has developed within the decades into the second largest shoe chain store in Germany – always in tune with modern trends and appropriately oriented to the target audience. We were able to conceptualise, design and produce the RENO magazine for the spring/summer of 2016 and the autumn/winter of 2016/17. We were also responsible for the photography, layout and texts.

The concept

A magazine that is entertaining and also creates incentives to buy – that was the declared intention of the magazine. We fulfilled this intention through a balanced combination of clipping paths and on-location photos which we also had the honour of shooting. The result is a diverse visual appearance that appeals to the entire family. Editorial content runs through the respective collections and also provides trend reports as well as information on the manufacturing processes and styling ideas.

Visual language

In both magazines, the on-location photography creates an all-embracing setting that allows the individual topics to come together in the magazines.

On the beach or in the mountains: whatever the location, Reno’s characteristic charm stands out perfectly and appeals to the entire family. The use of on-location photography sets scenic accents that make the Reno company even more approachable.
